Belfry Mainstage Theatre Camp
Belfry Mainstage Theatre Camp is the perfect opportunity for musical theatre fans to experience the thrill of performing in a full-stage production. This year, we are performing Roald Dahl’s “Matilda the Musical JR!”
This program gives performers of varying experience the opportunity to put up a show in four weeks under the direction of professional theatre artists.
Campers spend most of the camp day rehearsing and collaborating on the production in addition to acting and singing exercises, games, group activities, and crafts.
If your camper would like to audition for a specific part, we will have the materials listed below prior to the start of the camp. Your camper does not need to audition if they would like to be part of the ensemble.
Belfry Mainstage campers are expected to attend camp every day for the full 4 weeks. Belfry camp does not swim.

Singing with Glee
Singing with Glee offers an exciting variety of activities designed to help campers improve their singing skills and become stronger, more confident vocalists no matter their current skill level. Whether they’re stepping onto the stage for the very first time or they’re seasoned performers looking to refine their talents, every camper has a place to shine.
At Singing with Glee, campers will have the unique opportunity to sing alongside other vocalists, building both individual skills and ensemble techniques. First-time singers will learn essential singing fundamentals, while more experienced vocalists will sharpen their techniques. Best of all, everyone gets to practice and perform together, creating fun memories, developing teamwork, and making new friends along the way!
Throughout camp, singers will:
Learn the basics of singing and musicianship.
Explore a variety of songs from different genres.
Practice singing popular songs complete with matching step arrangements.
Learn vocal care techniques, volume control, pitch control, and essential musical concepts like melody and harmony.
Participate in games, light music theory lessons, ear training, and rhythm exercises.
Enjoy bonding activities, arts and crafts, and other creative fun.
The camp concludes with an exciting group performance, where campers get to showcase all they’ve learned in front of family and friends!
