Orienteering exercises your mind and body, challenging you to read a detailed map, make quick decisions, and navigate across varied terrain such as trails, streams, rocks, and woods. We’ll learn the skills necessary to be a successful orienteer by using GA’s expansive campus, local parks, and actual orienteering courses. This course is outdoors, fast-paced, and exciting… and all necessary equipment will be provided. Safe, resourceful, and environmentally-friendly outdoorsmanship will be emphasized. Orienteering and Survival Skills is not a prerequisite for this course, though taking both courses will offer the most comprehensive experience.
