For students entering grades 8-11, this course includes a thorough study of the main topics of plane geometry and how these topics coordinate with one another. The role of definitions and undefined terms is clarified. Students will learn the principles of deductive reasoning and mathematical proof, and to present arguments in a clear, orderly fashion. The application of theorems in the solution of numerical problems is a major part of this course.
