The mission of our academic program is to help camper-students gain confidence and develop skills through enrichment, maintenance, and remediation courses. The success of the academic program is largely due to the patient, persistent, flexible and caring teachers who find creative and stimulating ways to promote learning. Student teacher ratios never exceed 12 to 1, and are typically less than 6 to 1 in the K-5 lower school classes. Students seeking academic credit for summer study will need to consult with their respective schools for permission to pursue the course for credit. Enrollment is limited in all of the classes. Classes may be canceled due to insufficient enrollment with all deposits and fees paid returned.

The Germantown Academy Summer Day Camp, now in its 39th season, offers a comprehensive program for boys and girls entering nursery school through 8th grade.
Our staff of adult, professional activities directors, guide campers through an exciting day of fun filled activities. Our directors have been specially selected for their wide range of experiences in working with children. Troop counselors work responsibly to create a caring environment that encourages friendship, fun, and growth. They are trained in conflict resolution strategies and participate in weekly workshops with the administrative team to develop and enhance leadership skills. Camp activities are designed and organized based on camper’s ages and stages of development. Sign up for one or all six weeks. Each day brings new challenges and fun for every camper!
